CONSTRUCTION STYLE

Face frame, Frameless, inset and overlay styles are all available

FACE FRAMES

Face frames are constructed of ¾ x 1 ½” solid wood on all cabinetry. Top rails on wall and tall units are 3” wide if the crown moulding option is selected. Joints are fastened with 1 ½” wood screws and glue.

END/SIDE PANELS

Side panels are ½” MDF core veneered on both sides. Panels are machined to fit into the groove on the back side of the face frame and secured with staples and glue. Veneer core is available on request at no additional charge. Side panels can also be upgraded to ¾” thickness.

TOPS & BOTTOMS OF WALL CABINETS

Tops and bottoms are MDF core veneered on both sides. Tops and bottoms are dadoed into the side panels and secured to the side panels and face frame with glue and staples . Veneer core is available on request at no additional charge. In addition, a continuous piece of hardwood is run at the rear of the cabinets both top and bottom.

BOTTOMS OF BOTH BASE & TALL CABINETS

Bottoms are ¾” thick veneer core plywood. The bottom is secured to the face frame using both 1 ½” wood screws and glue. The bottom is dadoed into the end panels and fastened with both glue and staples.

BACKS

Backs are ¼” veneer core plywood in the case of a stained cabinet. Painted cabinetry will have ¼” MDF backs. Backs are dadoed into both end panels and secured with staples. Painted cabinetry backs can be upgraded to ¼” maple upon request.

TOEBASE

A ½” toe kick is preinstalled on both base and tall cabinetry. This may be either MDF or veneer core and will be finished to match the cabinetry. A sufficient amount of ¼” x 4” veneered plywood toeboard is supplied in 8’ lengths at no additional charge for application after the installation of the cabinets.

DRAWER BOXES

Drawer boxes (sides, back and front) are 5/8” thick solid maple with dovetailed corner construction. Drawer box bottom is ¼” veneered maple plywood and is dadoed within the four sides of the drawer box.

DRAWER SLIDES & HARDWARE

Drawer slides are full extension soft close undermount Blum Tandem with a 75lb. rating capacity per pair. Overlay hinges are BLUM 1 ¼” overlay with six – way adjustability. Inset hinges can be either exposed barrel hinges with magnet catches, or concealed BLUM knuckle hinges. 3/8” inset knife hinges are also available.

CABINETRY INTERIORS

Stained Cabinetry

Cabinet interiors are natural finished maple veneer. The finish on the interior, like the exterior, is a catalyzed conversion varnish which is highly durable.

Painted Cabinetry

Cabinet interiors are maple veneer. The finish on the interior will be painted the same color as the exterior. Shelving is painted to match cabinetry interiors.
